You will need your own personal device for use throughout the workshop. You will not be able to share your device as only one participant can attend per device.

- a computer – one of: desktop/laptop/tablet (you may not attend on a smartphone)
- the Zoom application installed onto your device
- reliable internet connection (wired if possible)
- webcam/microphone/speakers
- two screens are recommended – one to attend the online class and the other to view session handouts.*
- *You also have the option to print out the handouts
Important: Please ensure that you have all the items above before you register. If you register and then find that you cannot meet these requirements (with the exception of the second screen), you will not be permitted to attend the workshop. There are no refunds.

| Attendance Requirements: | This workshop certifies participants to lead Learning Language and Loving It® – The Hanen Program® for Early Childhood Educators. Participants also receive a license to lead the program.
Full attendance is required. This means completing the Pre-Workshop Assignment (approximately 5-6 hours) and attending all group sessions in full. No recordings will be available of the live sessions.
Absences will not be approved. Please only register for a workshop for which you can attend all live group sessions in full. Please note that if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, you will not receive a license to offer the program or a Certificate of Completion. There are no refunds. |
| Required workshop material: | You will need access to the Learning Language and Loving It guidebook (Weitzman and Greenberg, 2002) in order to attend this training. Please wait for email instruction from The Hanen Centre before purchasing the guidebook. |

Financial: Emma Mottram, BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Pathology, is a speech and language therapist who has been working in paediatric speech and language therapy in the UK since 1993. Her main responsibility is working with deaf children and their families. As a Hanen Instructor, Emma is contracted by The Hanen Centre to lead Learning Language and Loving It™ workshops. She has been a Hanen member since 2003 and uses Learning Language and Loving It™ resources in her clinical work, and also offers Learning Language and Loving It™ Programs as part of the clinical services offered to clients in her workplace. Non-financial: No other relevant non-financial relationships exist. |

Hanen resources are protected by international copyright law. No translations are permitted without advance written permission from The Hanen Centre. |
| Language: | Due to the fast-paced, highly interactive nature of our workshops, participants must have a high proficiency in English (i.e. they must be able to understand English, respond to questions and contribute comfortably to group discussions, which involves practicing and applying concepts learned during the workshop). All materials will be provided in English. |
| Cancellations: |
100% of the workshop fee will be refunded if written notification of cancellation is received before the start date of the workshop and a substitute can be found. No refunds if a substitute cannot be found.
Please note that we cannot provide refunds for partially attended workshops. However, you have the option of registering for a future workshop for an administrative fee of $279, with the same full attendance requirement. Please note that most advertised workshops are currently full and we cannot take reservations.
