The Hanen Centre is very aware that, in order to serve a growing and diverse client base within an expanding scope of practice, Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDAs) are employed more and more widely to support clinical services provided by speech-language pathologists.

Professional Development

The Hanen Centre supports excellence in CDA/SLPA practice and professional growth. Currently Hanen’s certification workshops are only available for speech language pathologists/therapists. However, SLPAs and CDAs who are interested in learning more about best practices in working with families of children with language delays and special needs should contact us at presentations@hanen.org for information on bringing a Hanen presentation to your area.
