Universal Terms and Conditions for Hanen Workshop Registration

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. It is important that you understand what you are agreeing to and what The Hanen Centre’s policies include.

By registering for this workshop you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

Mandatory Pre-Workshop Assignment/Self-Directed Module
This workshop includes a mandatory pre-workshop assignment/self-directed module, which covers important content needed to participate in the workshop and receive your certification/licensure. The assignment is estimated to take between 1.5 - 5 hours, depending on which workshop you are attending.

If the assignment is not completed and, if applicable, submitted on time, participants will not be permitted to attend the workshop. Any refunds will be subject to our cancellation policy and may result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by registrant

  • For workshops hosted by The Hanen Centre: 100% of the workshop fee will be refunded if written notification of cancellation is received and a substitute can be found. No refunds will be given if a substitute cannot be found or if the workshop has started.

  • For Hanen Workshops presented by another organization: it is the responsibility of the registrant to contact said organization for details on their cancellation policy for this workshop. The Hanen Centre’s cancellation policy does not apply to workshops presented by another organization.

Cancellation by The Hanen Centre
If The Hanen Centre cancels a workshop after it has sent out email confirmation that the workshop will go ahead and if participants have already incurred travel and accommodation costs, The Hanen Centre may, at its own discretion, reimburse participants for travel and accommodation costs already incurred and that can be proven with official receipts. No other expenses will be considered for reimbursement.

IT Requirements
Workshop participants are responsible for ensuring they have the needed technical, system and audio requirements to fully participate.

Enrollment
Enrollment is limited. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed until full payment has been received by The Hanen Centre or host organization.

Attendance
Attendance and participation for the FULL workshop is mandatory. Attendance will be tracked and no recordings will be available of the live sessions. Absences will not be approved. Failure to meet the attendance requirements will result in your certification/license being withheld with no refund provided.
If you are unable to complete training, you have the option of registering for another training for an administrative fee of $279.00. All attendance requirements will apply to your new training.
Please note that the online sessions of this workshop will be recorded for training and quality assurance purposes. By registering for this workshop, you are acknowledging that you understand and accept this.

Proficiency in English

This workshop is conducted in English. Due to the fast-paced, highly interactive nature of our workshops, participants must have a high proficiency in English (i.e. they must be able to understand English, respond to questions and contribute comfortably to group discussions, which involves practicing and applying concepts learned during the workshop). All materials will be provided in English. By accepting these terms and conditions you are confirming that your English is at the required level to participate fully in the workshop. Please note that we reserve the right to test your English proficiency and cancel your registration without a refund if the standard of English proficiency is considered inadequate for the workshop. If your English prevents full participation in the training, we reserve the right to withhold your license or certification. If you have questions around your proficiency in English, please contact your workshop coordinator.
