You will need your own personal device (laptop, desktop or tablet) for use throughout the workshop (cell phones may not be used). You will not be able to share your device as only one participant can attend per device.

• a computer/desktop/laptop or tablet (you may NOT use a cell phone)
• a reliable internet connection (wired if possible)
• speakers
• a microphone
• a webcam
• two screens are recommended – one to attend the online class and the other for sessions handouts. You also have the option to print out the handouts

ASHA Statement:
|
This workshop is registered for 2.20 ASHA CEUs (Introductory Level, Professional Area). Full attendance and participation during the three days is required. As a prerequisite, there is an Individual Learning Component to be completed before participation in the workshop. This course focuses specifically on More Than Words® - The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and accompanying resources and there will be limited or no information provided about similar products or services.

Attendance requirements:
|
This workshop is a certification workshop which certifies participants to lead More Than Words -- The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties. Participants also receive a license to lead the program.
Full attendance is required. This means completing the Pre-Workshop Assignment and attending the full 8 hours of each of the three days. Attendance will be tracked during the training. No recordings will be available of the live sessions.
Absences will not be approved. Please only register for a workshop where you can attend the full 8 hours of each of the three days. Please note that if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, you will not receive a license to offer the program or a Certificate of Completion. There are no refunds. |

Attendance in this workshop requires that you own the More Than Words guidebook (Sussman, 2012). You need to purchase this book if you do not own one.
Please note: Attendance in this workshop requires that you own the More Than Words guidebook. This workshop is available at a reduced price to allow participants to purchase their individual copy of the guidebook. Financial: Cathy Coppens, Reg. CASLPO, is a Senior Speech-Language Pathologist who works for the Talk 2 Me Program - Essex Preschool Speech and Language Services. As a Hanen Instructor, she is contracted by The Hanen Centre to lead More Than Words® workshops. Cathy is a long-time Hanen member, who uses More Than Words® resources in her clinical work with families, as well as offering More Than Words® Programs as part of the clinical services offered to clients in her workplace. Due to the fast-paced, highly interactive nature of our workshops, participants must have a high proficiency in English (i.e. they must be able to understand English, respond to questions and contribute comfortably to group discussions, which involves practicing and applying concepts learned during the workshop). All materials will be provided in English.

Cancellations:
|
50% of the workshop fee will be refunded if written notification of cancellation is received and a substitute can be found. No refunds if a substitute cannot be found. No refund requests will be accepted after the workshop has already begun.
