The course will run over 9 weeks, from October 12 to December 8th, 2020. Most of the learning is self-directed with 3 live, online zoom meetings led by Janice Greenberg, I'm Ready! Program Director.

Attendance requirements:

This workshop is a certification workshop which certifies participants to lead The Hanen I’m Ready!™ Program for Building Early Literacy in the Home.
Full attendance is required. This means attending the full 2 hours of every module and completing the self-study modules. Attendance will be tracked during the training. No recordings will be available of the live sessions.
Absences will not be approved. Please ensure you register for a workshop only if you can attend all modules from beginning to end. Please note that you will not receive a Certificate of Completion or a refund if you fail to meet the attendance requirements.

Participants should expect to dedicate 2-3 hours per week to course activities. Modules are self-directed and completed at the participant’s convenience during the specified week. The Zoom sessions must be attended during the specified times.

Janice Greenberg, B.Sc., D.S.P., Reg. CASLPO, is Director of Early Childhood Education Services at The Hanen Centre. Her responsibilities include leading Learning Language and Loving It™, ABC and Beyond™ and Hanen I’m Ready!™ workshops and developing resources and materials for use in these workshops and other related trainings. Janice also develops resources for Learning Language and Loving It™ – The Hanen Program® for Early Childhood Educators, ABC and Beyond™ – The Hanen Program® for Building Emergent Literacy in Early Childhood Settings and the Hanen I’m Ready!™ Program for Building Early Literacy in the Home. Among others, she is the co-author of the I’m Ready!™ guidebook. The Hanen Centre holds the copyright to these materials and Janice receives no financial benefit from the sale of these materials. She has no other financial or non-financial relationship to this workshop or its corresponding resources.

Due to the fast-paced, highly interactive nature of our workshops, participants must have a high proficiency in English (i.e. they must be able to understand English, respond to questions and contribute comfortably to group discussions, which involves practicing and applying concepts learned during the workshop). All materials will be provided in English.

Cancellations:
|
50% of the workshop fee will be refunded if written notification of cancellation is received and a substitute can be found. No refunds if a substitute cannot be found. No refund requests will be accepted after the workshop has already begun.
