Course Overview

Routines provide a familiar and predictable context within which young children with language delays can learn to take turns and communicate.

If you work with young children and their families, this e-Seminar will provide you with practical knowledge and tools for helping parents apply specific strategies to foster their child’s interaction and language skills within everyday social routines. You’ll gain practical guidance on how to set appropriate goals for children within specific routines, according to their stage of communication development.

Upon completion of this 2 hour e-seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify types and characteristics of routines which can be used to foster interaction and language skills in young children with language delays.
  • Identify why routines offer ideal opportunities for interaction and language learning in young children with language delays.
  • Provide examples of appropriate goals for children within specific routines according to their stage of communication development.
