The Hanen Centre offers several valuable resources that can enhance the work of early childhood professionals who train or consult to educators.

Based on the most current research in early childhood education, Hanen resources equip educators with the practical knowledge, skills and tools they need to build the language, early literacy and social skills of young children (birth to 5).

The following resources can help you promote the kind of responsive environments and educator-child interactions that are optimal for children’s learning:

Language and literacy development

Learning Language and Loving It™ Guidebook and DVD

The Learning Language and Loving It guidebook and DVD may be shared with educators to help them create the enriched and inclusive learning environments necessary to foster the social, language and literacy development of preschool children. These resources outline research-based responsive interaction strategies that educators can weave naturally into their day-to-day interactions with children.

Learning Language and Loving It has a three-pronged approach aimed at prevention, intervention and enrichment. This ensures that all children in the classroom benefit, including those who are delayed and those who are second-language learners.
