Support for Faculty Members of Speech-Language Pathology Departments: Language Delay Resources

If you’re a faculty member in a department of speech-language pathology or communication disorders, you may find the It Takes Two to Talk® guidebook and DVD to be helpful in exposing your students to a naturalistic approach to working with children with language delays. You can demonstrate specific research-based interaction strategies and how these facilitate the child’s communication development.

Your students will learn a great deal by viewing contrast video examples of parents not applying and then successfully applying the It Takes two to Talk strategies by observing the impact on the child. As required reading and viewing, or simply as a helpful aid to demonstrate the approach you’re teaching, It Takes Two to Talk resources are an invaluable tool for demonstrating to students how to put naturalistic intervention into practice.
